Located in San Mateo County, California, Menlo Park is situated just 30 minutes south of San Francisco and 20 minutes north of San Jose. It is known as “Tree City”, due to the large number of treelined streets and concerted effort to maintain its older trees. Although many of the residential neighborhoods are upscale with generously sized lots, Menlo Park has a good number of condominium and townhome complexes as well as smaller older homes .  as well as home to Facebook and Venture Capital Row, Sand Hill Road..
 
Menlo Park is also known for its notorious business resident Facebook, along with the former prominent presence of USGS, soon to be redeveloped into additional housing units.  In a city where the finest living is combined with a small town feel, Menlo Park is considered a sought after location. It offers sophistication in the suburbs, with most of its shopping and dining on a single downtown street, Santa Cruz Avenue
